SECTION 1. Standing Rules may be adopted at any
business meeting by a majority vote of the members present and
voting or by mail ballot. No prior notice is required.

ARTICLE II. ANNUAL CONVENTION MEETING
SECTION 1. There shall be a meeting of the
Executive Council prior to the annual business meeting of the
Association.
SECTION 2. Officers of the Association and
members of the Long Range Strategic Planning Committee (LRSPC)
shall host a forum at the Annual Convention to allow members to
discuss strategic directions prior to the development of the
Annual Management Plan (AMP).
SECTION 3. There shall be a business meeting at
the Annual Convention of the Association.
SECTION 4. Voting members shall be distinguished
from nonvoting members by coded badges.
SECTION 5. Annual income generated by
meetings/workshops must offset expenses unless prior approval has
been obtained from the Executive Council.
SECTION 6. Financial arrangements for Annual
Convention shall be presented by the Convention Committee Chair
for approval by the Executive Council.
A. Speakers
1. Honoraria established by the Executive
Council may be offered to speakers. Exceptions to an established
amount must be approved by the Officers' Committee.
2. Travel expenses paid to speakers shall be
tourist class airfare, taxi, or limousine fees to and from the
meeting site, and room and board as appropriate.
3. Registration fees for Annual Convention shall
be set by the Executive Council upon recommendation of the
Convention Committee Chair. Students shall be charged one-half
registration for regular members.
4. A convention budget shall be presented to the
Executive Council by the Convention Committee Chair. These and all
other costs incurred with the knowledge of the Convention Chair,
shall be covered by monies earned by exhibit and registration
fees.
ARTICLE III. DUES SECTION 1. Payment of Dues A.
Dues are for the calendar year, July 1 through June 30.
B. Bills for all dues shall be distributed in May and a membership
shall be considered lapsed if dues are not paid by June 30 of that
year.
C. A delinquent fee for dues not received by June 30 shall be
charged to former members. A former member shall be considered one
who has held membership during the previous calendar year.
SECTION 2. Reinstatement
Regular Members, Associates, or Students who
have allowed their membership to lapse shall be required to meet
the membership requirements in effect at the time of their
application for reinstatement.
ARTICLE IV. REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVES
SECTION 1. Geographic Regions There shall be
five (5) Regional Representatives elected from the following areas
of the state: Metropolitan Atlanta, the Northwest, the Northeast,
the Southwest, and the Southeast.
SECTION 2. Duties of Regional Representatives
A. Shall organize periodic meetings of members
within designated regions and report information to Executive
Council.
B. Shall form the Nominating Committee with the
immediate Past President as chair and shall submit the slate to
Officers' Committee.
C. Shall form the Honors committee with the
President-Elect as chair, shall submit honors nominees to
Executive Council for approval, and shall make arrangements for
honors awards.
D. Shall coordinate membership recruitment and
retention with Membership Services Committee.
