Poster Submissions for the GSHA 2019 Annual Convention are being accepted.

If you are planning to present a poster at the GSHA 2019 Annual Convention, please review the information below.

Deadline to Submit: Saturday, December 1, 2018

Poster presentation submissions provide students and professionals alike an opportunity to present information on a topic that meets ASHA continuing education standards. Poster sessions should provide information in a scholarly manner regarding theoretical aspects of the product or service and related research when applicable. The Poster presentation must not be for marketing purposes, and speakers must disclose prior to the course if there will be limited or no information provided about similar products or services. These Poster presentation sessions, will be presented in 4 x 15 min intervals during the assigned presentation hour.


  • All authors/presenters participating in the presentation must register for at least the day they are presenting at the Convention.
  • Authors/presenters must present in the time slot and format assigned by the GSHA program committee.
  • GSHA will offer CEUs for participants, and presentations must meet ASHA CEU requirements
  • Each Poster application must include Learner outcomes, brief biographical sketch for each presenter & the content of proposals must address the science or contemporary practice of speech-language pathology or audiology.

Student Poster Competition

Student posters are eligible to compete for the annual GSHA Student Poster Award, which will be selected at the convention by a panel of judges organized by the Higher Education Committee. Entries will be judged by using the GSHA Student Poster Competition Rubric  based on topic organization, content, and presenter communication. First, second, and third place recipients will be awarded a framed certificate and recognized at the convention for their accomplishments.
